Race Schaeffer is a medical student at Baylor College of Medicine and a Research Fellow in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Originally from Amarillo, Texas, he completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on hearing assessment and outcomes in cochlear implant and hearing aid populations, conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Tiffany Hwa.
