Yueqi (pronounced: yoo-eh chee) Ren is a medical student and MD/PhD candidate at the University of California, Irvine with research interests in hearing loss, neurological disorders, and aging. She received her PhD in Mathematical, Computational and Systems Biology and is currently pursuing research in understanding how computational and statistical models can improve our understanding of otologic and neurological disorders. With future career interests in otolaryngology, Yueqi hopes to continue bridging the gaps between medicine and science as an aspiring surgeon-scientist. Outside of research and medicine, Yueqi enjoys creating art, climbing, yoga, and traveling.
