Demi Zapata-Gerken, DO, MSN is a current third year Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery resident physician at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. She earned her bachelor's degree in Biology–Physiology from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington before obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. After practicing as a registered nurse, she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. Her current clinical interests include surgical reconstruction, functional outcomes, and the management of pediatric otolaryngologic conditions.
