William Z. Gao, MD is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Chicago and Co-Director of the UChicago Voice & Swallowing Center. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Georgetown, where he served as administrative chief resident. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in laryngology and care of the professional voice at the University of Southern California Voice Center. Enthusiastic about medical education, he co-founded Stroboscopy.org, a curated online resource for learning laryngeal stroboscopy.
