Maia Smith, BSA, MS, is a medical student at the University of Texas Medical Branch John Sealy School of Medicine. Her research interests include otolaryngology, surgical outcomes, health disparities, and translational research. She is involved in student-run clinic leadership and hopes to pursue a career in otolaryngology with a focus on underserved patient populations.
