Dr. Hiram Heber Plata-Huerta, MD, is an otorhinolaryngologist and academic faculty member, as well as former Chief Resident at the University Hospital “Dr. José E. González” of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL). He earned his medical degree from UANL in 2018 and completed his residency training in Otorhinolaryngology at the same institution. He further advanced his training through specialized fellowships, including the UANL–KER Unit México/Mayo Clinic collaboration, and earned a Diploma in Rhinology from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
Dr. Plata-Huerta’s research includes systematic reviews and meta-analyses in endocrinology, urology, and artificial intelligence applications in medicine, in addition to clinical research and case reports in otolaryngology. His academic and clinical interests focus on rhinology, facial plastic surgery, and head and neck surgery, with a strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Plata-Huerta maintains a private otorhinolaryngology practice in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, where he provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for adult and pediatric patients.
