Denise Zheng is a second-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine with a strong interest in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery, particularly head and neck oncology and translational research. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also completed minors in Chemistry and Psychology.
Denise’s research interests center on improving outcomes for patients with head and neck cancers through clinical and translational approaches. She has contributed to research involving HPV-associated oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, immunotherapy, and surgical oncology, with additional experience studying cancer metabolism in clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
