Identification of various CRSwNP subtypes is important to guide treatment decisions. Sinus surgery planning, selection of medical therapies, biologics, allergen immunotherapy, and other options may be targeted to specific CRSwNP subtype or endotype. In this session patient cases, literature evidence, guidelines and consensus statements, and clinical experience will be used to discuss various CRSwNP subtopics. This includes currently available biologic options, selection of treatment pathway based on CRSwNP subtype, biomarkers and their applicability to CRSwNP subtype, cost considerations, and others. This session aims to address several common questions in CRSwNP: Which patients improve with standard therapy? Can we predict which patients will recur? Who is appropriate for biologic therapies?

Learning Objectives:

Delineate CRSwNP subtypes and endotypes and the utilization of clinical and laboratory biomarkers to aid in understanding patient profiles.
Describe medical and surgical treatment of CRSwNP guided by subtype and underlying inflammatory endotype.
Evaluate opportunities to incorporate biologic therapies for patients with CRSwNP before and after sinus surgery, as well as in patients who do not undergo sinus surgery.
