This course is intended for any otolaryngologist performing ear surgery. This includes basic diagnoses to complicated lateral skull base surgery. The general otolaryngology gap analysis has indicated prevention of complications or intra-operative injury is a need.
Learning Objectives:
Review the complications associated with routine otologic surgery. The course will review problems associated with otologic procedures such as tubes, myringoplasty , tympanoplasty, stapedectomy, mastoidectomy and lateral skull base surgery.
Review common patient risk factors associated with anesthesia for Otologic and neurotologic procedures.
Review the legal aspect of dealing/treating otologic complications.
