In this session, we will use cases to demonstrate how stroboscopy and NBI can be used to risk stratify lesions in the office and help guide treatment. In this session, we will also use cases to demonstrate when office biopsy and office laser ablation may be used for dysplastic lesions. Finally, we will use cases to discuss management of glottic cancers with attention to areas of difficulty such as the anterior commissure and the arytenoids. We will discuss technique for obtaining margins and we will discuss functional outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to appropriately diagnose patients with leukoplakic lesions concerning for dysplasia and malignancy.
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand the functional and oncological outcomes of surgical treatment of early glottic cancer.
Upon completions, participants will be able to understand when patients with early stage laryngeal cancer should be treated with radiation treatment.
